Shucking Corn

Posted by PicasaLast weekend Trevor and Abby had a chance to visit their Great-Uncle Mark and his friend Janet in Michigan. Their Great-Grandpa John and his friend Marion, their Poppa Mike and Gramma Jane, their Great-Uncle Chris, their Aunt Bec and Uncle Matt, and their Cousin Olivia were all there to help celebrate Mark's and Trevor's birthdays. Mark prepared an amazing feast, but like all great chefs, he needed lots of help in the kitchen. Trevor and Abby did their part by helping to prepare the corn-on-the-cob, an essential part of any summer celebration. I can't tell who is having more fun, Mark or the kids, can you?

O Visits Michigan

Last weekend my brother, Mark and his friend Janet hosted a Memorial Day bash at the new house they just finished building in Coloma, Michigan. While we were there we celebrated Mark's and Trevor's birthdays (May 28). Mark and Janet were fantastic hosts and all the family ate well, gabbed constantly, partied exuberantly, and slept soundly. Olivia entered enthusiastically into all the fun. She especially enjoyed chasing her cousins and checking out her great Uncle Mark's art supplies. Thanks Matt, Bec, and O for joining the fun; everyone, especially Uncle Mark, enjoyed the visit! Posted by Picasa

Our Garden Gets Planted...Finally!

Last weekend Jane (mostly Jane) and I had a chance to plant our garden. All the transplants are doing fine and even some of the seeds are sprouting now one week later. Jane put in a lot of hard work and we're pretty excited. Keep watching and we'll keep you posted on our progress.Posted by Picasa

Thank You, Sully!

This weekend I took Sully to Barnes and Noble to buy him a book for helping me to make a video (see Busy Boys 2). He chose a book about firemen and he wanted to do his own "Storytime" with his Poppa, his Gramma, and his brother Charlie bear as an audience. He did a pretty good job, don't you think?
