Mommy Bunny Returns

Friday afternoon around five o'clock Jane and I finally saw Mom bunny. She had returned to feed her babies. After she finished feeding them (we think we saw 3 baby bunnies) she spent quite a bit of time tucking them in for the night. These pictures were taken from inside the house through our sliding glass door so we wouldn't disturb Mom.

Finally she noticed us and hopped away. When we went out to look later we noticed that the patch of fur that had been lying on top of the grass had been carefully tucked in around the babies and covered with grass. The baby bunnies will sleep warm tonight!
